A Blank Slate...
If you asked the people who knew me best growing up, they’d probably say,
“He’s always up to something. Good or bad, there’s always something cooking."
And they wouldn’t be wrong.
I’ve never been afraid to put things out there.
Ideas, sketches, conversations—whatever’s on my mind.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve looked at the world like a puzzle.
Trying to understand behavior. Spot patterns.
Until I learned something humbling:
You can’t read people like a book.
You have to be with them.
Sit in their world.
Feel what they feel.
I think that’s what life’s about.
And I’ve tried to relay that through all of my art in the past.
I’d feel something calling out from the world—
A project yet to be completed,
A meaning yet to be attached—
And it always found its way onto clothing.
I’m here to find meaning, and attach it to the clothes we wear to express ourselves.
I started Astra because I was intrigued by brands like Supreme, Aimé, and Kith.
The way they cement culture into history felt like something I needed to be part of.
I had something to say in that conversation.
But I didn’t want to build another hype brand.
I didn’t want to just make an iconic logo and flip it for cash.
I didn't want to make another performance brand that claims to be "the best."
That’s too much noise. Not enough meaning.
What if your best performance wasn't the workout itself?
